A tip for those Dutchies out there who don,t know where to get the great DVD: Just order it at Amazon, and don't worry about the DVD regions. I did, and got my copy via some Swiss (?) company and it works perfect on European players.

And there are rumours about a tour in May, see the website of the Zwijnshoofd cafe, Bergen op Zoom.

One thing I never said was that A Love Song for Bobby Long has been one of my all time favorite movies. I actually think of that movie quite often. It is such a beautiful story of regret and redemption. Hearing your dad wrote the book and it was your music on the sound track absolutely stunned me. I was thrilled to get your cd. I’ve almost worn it out already. I also loved the fact the movie takes place in New Orleans. All my life I wanted to visit New Orleans. I was 40 when I finally got to go. It was the best time of my life. It was everything I had thought it would be. Watching your performance was another special night. It came at the end of a series of events that have transformed my outlook on life. It was that final stroke of fate that really made a difference in my life. I’ve read articles about you where you talk about wanting to offer people hope. A great quote of yours from an article is, "One thing I heard my father say a long time ago was, 'If you cannot provide hope by the end of your work then you should not be an artist.' That's been one of the biggest things that's stuck with me," muses Capps. "I go into weird spots and come out of it providing hope.”
I’m certainly glad about those weird spots. I struggled for a long time with the fact I’m turning 50 and don’t like to remember quite a bit of my life. What I learned that night when I saw you in NC is that my life is so free and so good. There were so many other people there that night too that were wonderful. I can’t even explain it all in one paragraph. I don’t care how much time I have left, I am going to make the most of it. I’m glad to have my head out of my @$$ hahaha.
P.S. What is "the wook" all about? Just being nosey. I am, after all from a small southern town.

This guest book is a great read all by itself. Like everyone else, I saw a performance and was hooked. He inspires loyal fans and poetry! He's a true southern miracle. I bought the dvd and all the cds. Now I can't get A Love Song for Bobby Long out of my head. The only thing I want to know now is...where can I get a poster? My cubicle could use the excitement. Yeehaw!

I was soooo bummed I didn't make it to Gulfport last weekend. I hope it was huge. I was incarcerated in the hospital. Sometimes they don't let me leave and they stick tubes and wires and scopes in unspeakable places. I kept thinking "Grayson is much more fun". I think I'm gonna live to dance like a fool again.
