Hey Admin,
I have to respectfully disagree with you, in my experience, pleasures are many, dangers are to be disregarded (whenever possible). Hey and sometimes the dangers actually add something to the pleasures. But, I guess that's the hedonist in me.
Keep on keepin' on,

Wanted to welcome the new admin, I'll miss that lovely admin from Surinam but, I can catch up with her other places. Anyway, new admin, I appreciate your no nonsense style, felt like rock em sock em robots for a little while there.
So now there's a Grayson Capps tribute band, sounds scary indeed.
Have fun at the Duck Pond, wish I could be there, North Carolina's got to be amazing this time of year, certainly not as hot and humid as we are down in NOLA.
See you boys in July, love ya, and Grayson quit sending emails while yer in the van.

wait a minute, are you Greg, or Not Important? And you most certainly did rag on D. Folgerberg. Your indication was that he was boring and somber. And I suppose incomparison to "the man" he may have been somewhat so. But in his heyday, He was the man. He was simply of a different era, a different sound and sent a different message. But he was a great talent, to be respected, as are all musicians who make it that far in this world. He is now lost to us. I just thought you may want to know that. He left the circuit years ago, but was known for playing great and fun shows locally in the small gritty dives before his death. He was still well loved locally and a huge local tribute was given in his name by many, many musicians. So no harm meant dear, just a piece of news, that perhaps you didn't know. No one compares to Graysons music, I just didn't see the need to put one talent up against another. You're fine, don't be mad. They are all our herors. People who get up on stage and put their heart and soul out there. Moving us with their talents and lyrics. Changing our days from normal to being a part of something special. Making us sing their music as we drive down the road alone, feeling like a part of something bigger than we are. So put that CD in and sing along, loud and hard...

I miss that sultry, moist, warm breeze that you create when you guys are there. It is like no other. Cheers. L

To Not Important, Are you aware of the fact that Dan Folgerberg died last winter. His shows and music weren't Rott-n-Roll, of course, but he was a writer, a poet, a man of words and feeling, a soulful spirit, now lost to this world. He was, of course, a different genre, but that was his choosing and talent. His one Blue Gr@$$ album was a completely different sound. You would not know it Was him. "High Country Snows". To defend one, why belittle another?

Second if Mr. Capps didn't like it I'm sure he is 'man' enough to let us know. Third, you're ungratefull a$$hole should know better, your going to a great concert for relatively no money. Might be a good idee for you to bring a portable cd-player that way you can't hear the crowd go wild, which is normal at a concert, you little man.

Thank ya'll for coming into this guestbook world. I love hearing all the different thoughts and opinions. It was a pleasure to see the administrator in a somewhat sedate environment In the Woods. She had the knowledge about the Paradiso last time. I personally got a kick out of all the people singing along. I had been playing every night for almost five weeks and to have a blow out like that was perfect for me. I played in Holland for a week in much more intimate settings, so for those p!$$ed off few I suggest you try to see me in a more off the wall setting. The Paradiso is just going to get more out of control in the future. I'm bringing the Stumpknockers there in late November. I had a great journey and I met some crazy-wonderful people. To "Can't post without a name, uh?Alright,
You mean we're not all idiots, huh, uh, ya sure? Well I guess ya learn somthin' new every day.
Grayson's music is wonderful, his words are the sheeit and he ain't too bad to look at neither, but sometimes a little singing goes a real long way. There's a fine line between being participatory and being obnoxious, the thing is that those who are being obnoxious never really see that they're being that way. Take it from one who can spot the designated a*s*s*hole from 30 feet away, just because you are having fun doesn't mean everyone around you is. I don't know, wasn't there, haven't been able to access the video for some reason, but I do know the annoyance of having the loud drunk/s next to me and walking away sometimes alleviates the problem, but sometimes not.
I have heard it from many a musician that I am an exemplary audience member, not to say I sit quietly and studiously and drink in every moment with seriousness. There are ways to be participatory and to be respectful not only of the musicians but of other audience members, in fact often times if you do it right you spur others to have a much more heartfelt and full bodied experience. Everyone has their own way of enjoying the music and the performance, just please do realize that the most fun is when everyone is allowed to enjoy it in their own way. Enough on this.
Miss my man, Grayson, and of course the rest of you lovely Stumpknockers, see you on Friday. Ya know there's always a spot in my drive for all ya'll, pop up or down.

Hi Gray, ever think about a Colorado gig. There is so much music here all over the place, hell, you can set up on the street and YOU would draw a crowd. Boulder is awesome and welcomes all. The canyons and mountain tops have secret little private dives full of the old hippies and true ones. They would go nuts for you and your music here. Just a thought. I miss nothing about the south but hearing you play and the cove of course. Please come to Boulder before the snowfall...I still follow your site. So, if you make plans, we'll be there. Sorry, but apart from being a rude jerk you also seem to have missed the flow of the concert.
I was standing right in front of mr Capps, less then 3 feet from him and he seemed to enjoy the concert very much. This includes the people singing.
And isn't that what makes a concert a GOOD concert: if on and off stage everybody is having a great time?
I have seen him twice now and both concerts were great with people singing along several of his songs.
yes, Graysons work has two sides, the quiet late night listening and drowning in the words and notes and the more vivid live preformances.
Whatever you might think, I think you are a minority here.
But if you ever to manage to let him play at your house for a "houseconcert" I'm willing to share the costs and I promise you I bring a good Scotch and won't sing...

Cheers to p!$$ed Off from Yugolslavia,
Go ahead on wit cher bad self! Sorry some of the Wailers got their toes stepped on, but better that than some other things that spring to mind.
I think what p!$$ed Off is trying to say, correct me if I'm wrong, is that most people who pay to see an artist be it in a bar,a concert hall, a roadhouse, or a church, actually did come to see and hopefully hear that artist. Of course it's encouraged to sing along with certain, sing along songs, i.e. "Poison", "Big Ol' Woman", "Grand MawMaw",and don't forget the ever popular "Copper Kettle" but most songs are meant to be listened to. I'm sure as an artist it's flattering to have people embrace the music so much that they want to sing along, but I am also sure as an artist, that they would prefer that those singing would be respectful, not only to them but also to others in the audience and keep their volume to a minimum. So to those who think it's permissible to sing at top volume, phuck you, we didn't come to hear you sing. Some of Grayson's biggest fans, have still not figured this one out and continue to p!$$ other audience members as well as the band members off with their loud, lyric knowing mouths. And, to folks like p!$$ed Off, keep on keepin' on, spew when spewing is appropriate and tell it like it really is. You phuF**KING rott n' roll.
Love to Grayson, the band, the lovely moderator, et cetera,
